Sounds Good Summer Rocks Concert: Beatles, Beatles, Beatles!

Looking for summer fun with a beat? Come to a FREE Summer Rocks choral concert!

Presented by Sounds Good Choir, the nation’s second largest no-audition choir for adults 55+, Sounds Good singers will take you along for a magical musical mystery tour through seven beloved Beatles songs. From the buoyant and rousing “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and playful tongue-in-cheek humor of “When I’m Sixty-Four” to the foreshadowing sorrow of “Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight,” you will find “All You Need Is Love” at this free, all-ages concert. No tickets or reservations required. Just show up, join the fun!

No auditions, no experience necessary!

Just come and have fun singing. Our professional conductors will help you be the best singer you can be, and you’ll be surprised at how many new people you’ll meet.

Cost: $135 registration fee

Fee includes sheet music, professional direction, concerts, online practice tracks, and concerts. All singers registered for a session are welcome to rehearse and perform with as many choirs as they choose, as often as they like. In addition, every Friday during the session, one of our professional conductors holds an optional, online rehearsal for singers from all choirs.

Summer Sessions

During our 8-week Summer Rocks session, we offer 5 choirs in 4 locations:

• Gold Coast
• Oak Park/River Forest
• Northbrook
• Hinsdale

Both the Gold Coast choirs rehearse and perform downtown at the Fourth Presbyterian Church on Chestnut Street. 

Fall and Spring Sessions

During our 15-week sessions in the fall and spring, we offer 9 choirs in eight locations: Sounds Good (Arlington Heights, Edgewater/Lakeview, Evanston, Gold Coast, Hinsdale, Hyde Park, Oak Park/River Forest, Wheaton/Glen Ellyn) and Good Memories (Gold Coast).
